I’ve finally uploaded all the photos I took on the road trip Jess and I took last summer down the coast and up through the Midwest. I used Zooomr because I find the sets easier to organize. They’re available here. Highlights include a trip to the first KFC (sort of), strange fast food chains that do not exist in the Northeast, and photographic evidence that Eric did live in North...
Although the quality is low (my poor little camera), this video still captures the extreme, UNCANNY resemblance between Christian and his Rock Band avatar. This is seriously one of the greatest artistic achievements of the 21st century.

Why do we read diaries? (The New Yorker) →
The impulse to keep a diary is to actual diaries as the impulse to go on a diet is to actual slimness. Most of us do wish that we were slim diarists. It’s not that we imagine that we would be happier if we kept a diary; we imagine that we would be better—that diarizing is a natural, healthy thing, a sign of vigor and purpose, a statement, about life, that we care, and that non-diarizing or,...

Still obsessed over this.
My grandparents sent me this photo today in response to the thank you note I wrote for the new PT Cruiser I was virtually given by them.
Justin, Here is our car when your father was a baby. I would push it out onto E. Main St. and get it rolling down the hill so I could jump start it. I think it was my brother Tony’s when he went to Army Language School in California.

Christian looks like a completely different person now than from when I met him. He used to sort of remind me of Pee-Wee Herman but now he just looks like a communist or a stagehand or something. And the glasses have officially ruined the Seth Green look. Good luck getting compliments for Can’t Hardly Wait walking down the street now buddy.
I’m bored. I want to start a new project or...
On The Road with Roger →
Rog’s band is on tour through the 23rd. Or at least that’s what my mental math is telling me (EDIT: It’s the 30th). They’re in Ohio tonight. And rumor has it they have a robot filling in on lead guitar.

Jess, Kev, Chachi, and I saw Jonathan Richman Friday upstairs at The Middle East. It was kind of crazy, some girl was looking to buy an extra ticket outside and Chach said “I’ll sell you mine for $100” jokingly but she didn’t flinch.
He played a couple of Modern Lovers song and “I Was Dancing at a Lesbian Bar” but alas, no “Fly Into The Mystery”...

“In one example, Ariely and a colleague asked students at M.I.T.’s Sloan School of Management to write the last two digits of their Social Security number at the top of a piece of paper. They then told the students to record, on the same paper, whether they would be willing to pay that many dollars for a fancy bottle of wine, a not-so-fancy bottle of wine, a book, or a box of chocolates....
