German Wikipedia goes into print →
Due to hit the shelves in September, a published encyclopedia of German Wikipedia entries, the first of its kind, will list in a single volume the 50,000 most commonly searched terms on the German Wikipedia website over the past two years. That means France’s first lady, Carla Bruni, Playstation3 or trivia about the US television series House, starring British actor Hugh Laurie, have...

What looked like pushing…what looked like knocking down…was a safety precaution. In a fire, you stay close to the ground, am I right? And when I ran out that door, I was not leaving anyone behind! Oh, quite the contrary! I risked my life making sure that exit was clear. Any other questions?

Today was sort of a ceremonial end to our trip. We drifted back to Allston via Northbridge from New Milford this morning and returned tired, yet excited for the yest of the summer. jessicaheleneadler: A major goal of this trip was to avoid getting sucked up into a tornado, and I am happy to say we succeeded.

Milwaukee is home of the Miller Brewing Co. which means that Milwaukee is home of High Life. Jess and I toured the factory (where we were told it’s always Miller Time) which begins with this amazing bus in front of their amazing gift shop. The inside of the bus is actually a museum and plays old High Life commercials. I watched the whole video hoping to see the one with Twin Donuts in it but...

We also went to the Pabst (as in Blue Ribbon) Family Mansion. Their gift shop was full of cheap, PBR paraphernalia and Jess and I cleaned up. These things wouldn’t have lasted five minutes in Allston.

Broadcasting live from the the land of the next President of the United States of America. Gridskipper let us down earlier today in Indianapolis, leading us to a comme ci, comme ça record store followed by a overpriced coffeeshop and a lame vintage thrift shop. This after such fine recommendations in Louisville. Also, lots of driving this afternoon with zero Sonics. Still, Jess and I hold out hope...

Made it to Indianapolis. Louisville was much more interesting this afternoon. Jess and I went to the 21c Museum Hotel which men’s bathroom has been nominated for the America’s Best Restroom Award (is Costanza on this committee?) by Cintas, whatever they are. I’d explain it if I could. We also visited the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory—where I was reminded again that...

Made it to Charleston, WV. The hotel last night in Pennsylvania didn’t have wifi. Jess and I ate at a Waffle House in Allentown for breakfast and slowly made our way all the way down here to capital city. It’s pretty awful. We watched fireworks at Appalachian Power Park, home of the West Virginia Power. I’m not going to lie, I’ve seen better fireworks at high schools. No...

me: Was our waitress flirting with me?
Jess: I think so. What did she do when I was in the bathroom?
me: Nothing really. I think she gave me a free refill I wasn't entitled to.
Jess: Did she show her your boobs?
me: ...
